Do You Need A Golf Assessment?

How you golf could be creating pain in your shoulder, neck, knees, lower back or wrist - and assessing what that looks like is the key to an improved game and reducing pain. Magna's thrilled to announce that their Canton's Clinic Manager, Ryan Edgar, is now a Titleist Performance Institute Certified (TPI) physical therapist! That means he can help get you back into the game or improve your golf experience by evaluating your swing, stance, body posture, and other issues that may be causing pain.

What Is TPI?

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Understanding how a golfer moves is so important for effective treatment and this assessment can help determine what you need to be doing rather than guessing.

This certification helped Ryan become proficient in a thorough evaluation of any physical limitations that can inhibit your swing efficiency, durability and your enjoyment of the game. He uses the TPI screen to understand how the results of the assessment are correlated with the technical elements in the player's swing. This helps to identify the key area(s) that can be holding a golfer back from playing their best.

Ryan's assessments are 60 min in length that includes a full body screen and you will be given an exercise program to take home. If your golf game has been struggling, you could set up your assessment as a start to understanding where you need to focus!
